About Our Founder
Our Founder & Managing Director, Mr. Paolo Guidotti, is an Italian born in Nigeria. He lived in Eritrea, South Africa, Italy, United Kingdom, India, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and Germany, acquiring a rich international background enabling him to operate in multiple cultures. He is fluent in English, Italian and Hindi and gets by in Bangla, Cantonese, Indonesian, Thai and French. His passion for travel has taken him to more than 60 countries, both for work and leisure making him a global citizen.
With over 33 years of Sourcing, Production, Start-up, Re-engineering, Marketing, Quality Management and Operations Efficiency in Asia and Europe. He is cross-culturally sensitive, able to provide strong hands-on leadership and motivation to large multicultural teams and organizations. His strong interpersonal skills, results-oriented and dedicated to cost effective business solutions have proven the ability to successfully negotiate, secure and deliver major trading volumes and manage key account relationships.

In 1984, Paolo started working the apparel industry for May Department Stores in Bangladesh, in 1987 he moved to Italy and joined Sati Tesam as Buyer, in 1988 he moved back to Asia and set up his first business which ran successfully till 1994. His skills were well appreciated in the market, leading him to join Colby International as Account Executive, ultimately managing over 15 customers, in 1998 he was approached by Calvin Klein Jeans and given the responsibility of Quality Assurance Manager (Asia Pacific), completing the all-round experience in the industry

From January 2000, Paolo started working on project based assignments, the first one with PT Hollit based in Jakarta, restructuring the organization well. He was called back by the former CEO of Calvin Klein Jeans in 2002 the buying office of Pepper Industries in Hong Kong. On completing this assignment, he joined Frontline Limited in 2004 and reorganized their production planning department, managing over 8 million pieces produced by 35 suppliers in China. He was then approached by Miss Sixty in 2005 to set up their buying office in Hong Kong, building a complete team within 3 months to manage 5 brands for 2 more years.
In 2008, Paolo decided to take a break from the industry and moved to Thailand, setting up a travel company offering personalized tour services to very satisfied customers. Hi passion for Apparel lead him to set up a Sourcing Center for Robe di Kappa in Bangkok as well as he also took up production services for photo shoots, which included, Sports Illustrated in Rajasthan, Io Donna, both in Bangkok and Phuket.
Paolo joined VF Corporation in 2010 and initially looked after operations based out of Hong Kong, implementing a production planning tool, that improved the on-time delivery of various manufactures and resulting in him receiving the ‘Award of Excellence’ given by the President and CEO of the group. He was transferred to Bangkok in 2011 as Country Manager South East Asia & Indonesia, then in 2012 he was transferred to India to integrate Timberland into the company immediately after it was acquired, in 2013 he was given the overall responsibilities of VF India as Country Manager looking after 9 brands and 115 staff in all functions. He was further transferred in 2014 to London as Sourcing Director of Timberland completing his career with the group at the end of 2015.
Before ending his assignment with VF, Paolo was approached by Zalando to re-engineer and set up their Sourcing Team in Berlin for their private label brands. He reshaped their supplier portfolio, trained a sourcing team, worked closely with all other departments, including product development, buying, merchandising, quality management, product safety, Ethical Trade, Supply Chain Management and Finance. The team is now set and able to resolve the day to day issues that are common in the industry between each department and the suppliers globally.
